Asian immigration history is an epic of the American experience

In time for Asian American Heritage Month, we welcome you to a brief consideration of how Asian Americans persevered despite some darker chapters of American history to become exemplary citizens of contemporary America, the fastest growing segment of our immigrant population, and some of the most accomplished and revolutionary citizens of the world.

How it Works

In a lecture-style setting, learn about how Chinese, Japanese, and Southeast Asian immigrants survived Exclusion, Internment, and Displacement to make stellar contributions to Nobel Laureates, world-changing entrepreneurs, essential artists, and crusaders for Social Justice. Through images and narrative, your guides – all second-generation Asian Americans – will introduce you to some of the most extraordinary Americans of the 20th and 21st centuries.

You will be invited to see that time and time again, Asian inclusion into American society’s fabric has led to unprecedented achievements in

  • Art
  • Science
  • Education
  • Politics… and more!
